Podcasts are certainly on the rise and as they become more and more popular, there is such an incredibly array of amazing podcasters who share super valuable information week in and week out. I spend quite a bit of time travelling and I’m also the kind of person who can’t stand not doing something so business podcasts are a great way to make me feel like I’m working when I can’t actually be working.
I have my ‘go to’ business podcasts that I listen to religiously and I’m often asked which ones I recommend so I’m putting them all together for you as well as a little explanation as to why I love them so much!
1 – Online Marketing Made Easy – Amy Porterfield
This is honestly one of my most favourite business podcasts – Amy is so incredibly generous with her information and despite running course launches on the edge of $2 million, she makes you feel like you can achieve success regardless of what stage in your business you’re up to.
Amy also has amazing guests on the show including frequent appearances by the Facebook advertising guru, Rick Mulready, who shares so many valuable tips when it comes to creating, assessing and maximising your Facebook advertising.
2 – EOFire – John Lee Dumas
Ready for an information overload? Entrepreneur on Fire is a daily podcast (yes, that’s right… daily) by John Lee Dumas who interviews experts on a wide range of topics. I promise, in over 1500 episodes, there are going to be a whole bunch that speak to you. When you’re listening to a ton of business podcasts you need to have someone who you can stand listening too for that long and who keeps you engaged and that’s one of the things I love about EOFire, John just feels like he is sitting across the table from you having a chat.
3 – #MerryBiz – The Merrymaker Sisters
I challenge you to try to listen to this podcast without breaking into a massive grin. It’s just not possible. These gorgeous ladies – Emma and Carla Papas – are fellow Aussie’s who are rocking it in the online business world. Not only are they absolutely hilarious (and finish each other’s sentences and speak in unison) but they are super savvy when it comes to business. I binge listened to their podcast on a 4 hour road trip and still didn’t want to stop listening. Ah-may-zing.
4 – Femtrepreneur – Mariah Coz
This is a super new podcast but oh my gosh Mariah and Meghan pack some value into each and every episode. Mariah is the Queen of Courses and I’m a little obsessed with her. In a totally healthy, non-stalkerish kind of way. I signed up to one of her courses and hired a hotel room for a weekend to go on lock-down to complete her course and it was one of the best things I’ve ever done for my business. Even if you don’t or don’t want to run courses, she still drops tons of entrepreneurial knowledge bombs.
5 – Smart Passive Income – Pat Flynn
This is the first business podcast I ever became ‘addicted’ to. Smart Passive Income (or SPI as it’s known) is run by the amazing Pat Flynn, well known for being the pioneer of sharing his income reports and being incredibly transparent about his business. In addition, Pat also has the most amazing guests on this show and to be completely honest, this podcast was the kick in the right direction I needed when I first found it in December 2015.
6 – This is Your Life – Michael Hyatt
This ‘business’ podcast focuses on living your best life with intention and purpose, with a massive business focus (which I love). Michael is amazing and I love the format of the podcast where it’s like a conversation between Michael and his co-host Michelle. These are my go to ‘pick me up’ podcasts that make me think more about my intentions behind my business.
7 – Build Your Tribe – Chalene Johnson
There’s something about Chalene that just has me coming back for more. I love her no fluff approach to helping you just get it done – while still feeling like you’re being supported. Which isn’t an easy feat to achieve in a podcast. Chalene is big on live video – from Periscope to SnapChat and now talks a lot about Facebook live which I love too. It’s really awesome that she adds little healthy living aspects to her podcasts too.
8 – The School of Greatness – Lewis Howes
This is a podcast that makes you feel super inspired after every episode. Lewis is an ex-pro football player who understands that mindset and dedication are key tools in success in any field. He talks a lot about finding and following your passion and you can tell from listening to him how passionate he is about his business. A fantastic podcast to add to the collection.
9 – Social Media Examiner – Michael Stelzner
Social Media Examiner is pretty much the go to resource for your social media questions – they cover everything from LinkedIn to Facebook and are the powerhouse behind the Social Media Marketing World Conference. I do skip over a lot of their episodes that don’t apply to my goals (like LinkedIn) but the episodes I do listen to are always jam packed with stellar information.
10 – Startup Camp – Dale Partridge
Dale’s podcast has such a strong family element to it which I love, as it’s always reassuring as I love being able to include my family in my business. On top of that, he is wildly successful having owned multiple startups with multiple six figure incomes and beyond, yet family is his driving force, not money. He is super motivating and has so much valuable content in each and every episode.
